Associate Professor Kara Allen is a specialist anaesthetist (FANZCA) at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She has a Master of Clinical Education, further qualification in simulation education and clinical ultrasound and is an associate professor in the Department of Critical Care at the University of Melbourne. She undertook training at St Vincents Hospital, Mercy Hospital for Women, The Royal Childrens Hospital, and other major hospitals prior to finishing her training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital where she has been working as a specialist anaesthetist since 2009. She is also a member of the Graduate Chapter of Perioperative Medicine.
